pastel Summer

Pastel Summer

We still have a few days dealing with this  summer heat.  Enjoy wearing your favorite pastel fashion  with retro 1950's look.

After watching some old Mad Men episodes, I understood why summer 2012 was influenced by vintage pastel fashion.
Maybe if I wear my pastel shorts in Pasadena, I could transfer back to these innocent times.  If you don't know, the residence homes in Mad Men were filmed in Pasadena .

Yes, I went lighter for the summer. My colorist did amazing job with giving me highlights to my dark hair.

Here is  some of my  Etsy finds:
Pink Floral Silk // Vintage Silk Dress from Etsy store dethrosevintage

Candy Floss dress by Etsy store Dear Golden

pale mint trousers by Etsy store Dotto

Primrose Picnic Dress on

porter dress lilac by Dear Creatures

This summer has full of different events like my tea party, brigitte bardot inspired photo shot, date day at La's Natural History Museum  and many more.

Recently, I had amazing encounter with one of  MarMarVintage customer, Logan.  When I was shipping out her Betsy Johnson dress, I notice a minor defectives @ the USPS location.  I felt guilty for sending out her the dress and issued a refund to her.  Honestly I felt like  every customer deserves to get best  product and honest service regardless you have a big or small business. :)

Maybe the good karma fairies were smiling at me because  Logan send me some delicious Belgian  chocolates and Thank you card. I'm so happy that she is sexy in the dress.

Drop waist dress

Drop waist dresses

They are essential item  for any girl's closet.  I have too many drop down waist dress because  the 60's usually dominates my style. Yes, the drop waistline with longer bodice section and flirtatious skirt.

Please note for ladies with curves, this dress can be tricky to wear. I highly suggest wearing a belt to define your waistline like  the last features.

Here are my Etsy finds:
